Aleksandar Saša Zeković (1974) is the President of the Council for Civil Control of the Police, which is a collective ombudsman body in Montenegro, specialized for the matters of the police.

He was engaged in professional monitoring of the police since 2000. He coordinated the programs of the police reform and of the strengthening of its capacities for the communication and cooperation with the minority communities. He is particularly dedicated to the enhancement of the overall integrity of the police and the bettering of the application of the police authority in the cases of family violence, cases of persons with disability and the LGBT community. He managed the LGBT projects in the area of police training, as well as the training of prosecutors and judges, first of its kind implemented in Montenegro.

At the University of Montenegro, he received his MA degree on the subject „Political criteria in the accession process of Montenegro to the European Union“.

Aleksandar was a member of the experts groups drafting the Law on freedoms and rights of the minorities, first state report of Montenegro on the implementation of the Framework convention of the Council of Europe for the rights of the minorities, as well as the first Governments LGBT Strategy. He was a human rights violation researcher, coordinator/researcher of the Humanitarian Law Fund, program director of the Center for Civic education, the director of Roma Scholarship Foundation and the President of the Steering Committee of LGBT Forum Progress. He is the founder of the Alternative Institute.

He is an author, coauthor or editor of over thirty experts publications, academic analysis or studies as well as two official school textbooks.

Aleksandar Saša Zeković (1978) je predsednik Savjeta za građansku kontrolu rada policije, koji predstavlja kolektivno ombudsmansko telo u Crnoj Gori, specijalizovano za slučajeve vezane za policiju.

Bio je angažovan u stručnom praćenju rada policije od 2000. godine i koordinirao programe reforme policije i jačanja njenih kapaciteta za komunikaciju i saradnju sa manjinskim zajednicama. On je posebno posvećen poboljšanju sveukupnog integriteta policije i poboljšanje primene policijskih ovlašćenja u slučajevima porodičnog nasilja, a bilo je slučajeva i osoba sa invaliditetom i pripadnika LGBT zajednice. Koordinisao je LGBT projekte u oblasti policijske obuke, kao i obuku tužilaca i sudija, prva takve vrste koji su realizovani u Crnoj Gori.

Na Univerzitetu Crne Gore masterirao je na temu „Politički kriterijumi u procesu pridruživanja Crne Gore Evropskoj uniji“.

Aleksandar je bio pripadnik eksperata Grupe za izradu Zakona o slobodama i pravima manjina i državnog izveštaja Crne Gore o sprovođenju Okvirne konvencije Saveta Evrope za prava manjina, kao i prvih vladinih LGBT strategija. Istraživao je kršenje ljudskih prava, koordinator / istraživač Fonda za humanitarno pravo, programski direktor Centra za građansko obrazovanje, direktor Fondacije za stipendiranje Roma i predsednik Upravnog odbora LGBT Forum Progres. On je osnivač Instituta Alternativa.

Saša je autor, koautor i urednik preko trideset stručnih publikacija, akademskih analiza i studija, kao i dva zvanična školska udžbenika.
